This beginner-level class is part of a fundraiser supporting the Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation (BHOF). A suggested donation of $20 reserves your spot and helps advance education, awareness, and support for people living with osteoporosis. This class will teach you how to strengthen bones and muscles and improve posture and balance. You will learn the exercises that should be performed, the exercises that should be modified and the exercises that should be avoided. It is crucial to learn how to exercise properly because the wrong exercises or improper form can lead to injury.
Join this workshop for an uplifting day with a variety of talented speakers who will bring you the important information you need to take charge of your bone health, whether you are newly diagnosed, currently undergoing treatment, or cancer-free. You will learn how exercise, nutrition, yoga and mindfulness help your healing journey.
With spring in full swing, what better topic to discuss than how to garden and take care of your yard safely. Erin Howell, PTA with the AHN Orthopaedic Institute (also a Penn State Master Gardener) will present on this topic via Zoom on Monday, May 16, at 4pm ET and will provide some tips and tricks as we enter into nicer weather.
