Bone Basics: Osteoporosis Medicines

Although there is no cure for osteoporosis, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved medicines to prevent, slow or stop its progress. Taking a prescribed osteoporosis medicine, along with other healthy lifestyle behaviors such as getting enough calcium, vitamin D and regular exercise, can help reduce the risk of broken bones (also called fractures) due to osteoporosis.

Posture Improvement Exercise Class on January 30th (Virtual)

Carol Michaels will be teaching a FREE posture improvement class on Monday, January 30th at 5pm Eastern Time on Zoom. Good posture allows for efficient movement and better balance while poor posture can cause some muscles to become very weak and some too tight leading to poor range of motion and pain. The vertebrae need to be properly aligned; when posture is improved, there will be less compression on the nerves and decreased pain.
